Contest Format

  • 3-day competition, starting Friday morning
  • First and second days: 10-minute target time
  • Third day: 15 minute target time
  • No fly-offs
  • No motor restart allowed

Are Your Planes Ready?

All planes are to be '22 FAI F5J compliant. You may fly up to 3 planes in the contest. Sharing a plane or planes with another pilot is not allowed.

  • FAI minimum wing loading requirements: FAI Min Flying Mass
  • No external ballast (no weights attached to the outside of the plane, including for the purpose of adjusting CG).
  • No protrusions that could be used as a landing aid.
  • Wingspan no more than 4 meters.
  • FAI approved AMRT required (loaded with corresponding CAT1 firmware which prevents motor restart)
  • FAI Approved AMRT List
  • Using Altis Nano? You must download firmware (FW5.2) from Aerobtec website as it is not available on pull-down menu of Altis Flight Manager software: Nano Firmware Download
