F5J Contest With 1.5 Meter Motorized Gliders

Instead of F3K, eF3K, on June 4, SWSS will try an experiment:

F5J with F5K planes!

Standard F5J rules with which you all are familiar. Entries are any electric powered, 1.5m wingspan plane but the plane must be outfitted with an Altis programmed for F5J competition.

Set motor run time to 30 sec.

Ed LaCroix will CD the event and we will use Charles Martin’s F3K portable sound system programmed to play a standard F5J contest. Since Charles can broadcast on any frequency we may also use some number of the FM radios on the flight line.

Pilot meeting at 8:00 am, with flying to start no later than 8:30 am.
