Southwest Soaring Society / News Update - May 2023

Help me in wishing "JR", or Steven Willcox Jr., Good Luck as He leaves for the Czech Republic to attend the 2023 Samba Cup F5J Competition.
This amazing contest has over 130 entries and is contested over a week period of time.
The link is below to the Samba Cup and you may navigate from there to learn more or to follow scores.

BRING THAT HARWARE HOME  JR! and Have a wonderful time, from SWSS

You will notice a couple of improvements when you go to the field or are at a contest, the trailer for our clubs belongings has now been vented on the top with vents installed on the front roll up door also protecting our contents from receiving damage in the future.
Thank you Don for taking the time to volunteer and install that for us.

Another Very Important addition is a First Aid Kit that has been permanently installed under the South pavilion on the east end of the storage trailer.
Please know it is there in case of need and also make sure it is locked up so we can make sure the contents stay available for others.

Also, we have tested the NEW Clock and it looks incredible with visibility farther than most of us, except Charlie and George, can see. Very vivid with different color hues letting you know when the flight is live.

Next contest is this coming Saturday which is the F5j monthly, the competition will be great as always!

Make sure to register so we can plan.

The Patches are here, The Patches are here!

We will have them available this Saturday!
